How it works

Check-in is a capable little device that collects event signals and sends the data to a cloud server using state of the art LoRa technology.

Check-in collects data from electrical signals or physical buttons and sends the data to the LoRa network wirelessly. The LoRa gateway securely forwards the data to the Blackbird cloud server. Once data has reached the server, the Blackbird application can analyse, visualise and trigger further actions on demand such as sending alert messages automatically. 

*Customers can choose to use Wi-Fi instead of a LoRa network.  –  This requires a power cable on Check-in devices.
*The Check-in gateway sends data to the cloud via ethernet as standard. Customers can optionally choose to use Wi-Fi or a cellular network.

Blackbird Check-in works independently of your existing systems by using LoRa network. The installation merely requires a power supply and internet access.

Easy implementation

Check-in devices are designed for industrial use, using the protective IP67 external box with 2 years ( or 10,000 event signals) of battery life. The highly durable compact devices are easy to use and minimise disturbance of your existing workflows and work environments. (e.g. operators do not need to take off their gloves to use the devices, and the devices can be installed in small spaces behind machines).

Blackbird Check-in Stop Cause Button

Check-in helps Factbird users easily and quickly register faults and errors on production lines.

Each Check-in button is pre-defined with a stop cause (e.g. material delay, packaging jam, machine issue). When production lines stop, a press of a button will automatically categorise the cause on the Blackbird system. When the stop is categorised in the Blackbird system, it can be visually analysed from smartphones, tablets and PCs in real time.

Blackbird Check-in Wiretap Machine Monitoring

Get your existing production equipment online and digitalise your stand-alone machines.

Check-in collects data from the cable that gets electrical signals from your existing production machines and equipment. For example, Check-in receives the machine stop signal and automatically sends the signal to the Blackbird cloud server. Data can either be visualised on the Blackbird dashboard or trigger an alert via SMS.
